Framingham schools locked down as guy threatens 'suicide by cop'

UPDATE: The News reports police found the guy.
The MetroWest Daily News reports several schools have barred their doors as Framingham and state police hunt for a drunk, depressed guy who told his wife this morning he was going to "commit suicide by cop" today.
They're looking for the 53-year-old white guy, about 6' tall with gray hair, in a blue shirt and khaki pants, armed with a knife, in woods off Water Street.
Ed. note: That would explain all the helicopters we could see north of the turnpike from our offices.

We had not one, not two, but FOUR reverse 911 calls about this on our voicemail when we got home today.
I don't quite get why this led to a school lockdown. Sure, he was wandering the streets, but they picked him up right near his house.

after colombine & virginia tech, people wondered, "what can we do to make sure this doesn't happen again?"
