Police: Man who preys on women looking for rides downtown struck again last month

Boston Police report DNA testing shows one man is responsible for three sexual assaults late at night since August, 2007, and that he could be linked to two more attacks.

In all three cases, the victims were women who accepted rides from the man "in the early morning hours." He then drove them to Charlestown and attacked them. In the most recent incident, on Aug. 5 of this year, a woman picked up at Boylston and Arlington streets fought back when he attacked her near Terminal Street in Charlestown and he fled.

The other incidents involved women picked up near State Street on Nov. 22, 2007 and a woman picked up on Aug. 8, 2007 near Stuart Street, who was also attacked near Terminal Street.
