Fire-setting cat killer gets 2 1/2 years

EpifaniaLuigi Epifinia, 25, convicted last month of killing an East Boston cat, then using its flaming body to try to set a triple decker on fire. After he gets out - and he is getting a 15-month credit for time already served - he will serve five years on probation for beating a man with a frying pan, the Suffolk County DA's office reports.

alternate punishment?
