SUV vs. light pole: Light pole wins, Green Line riders lose

Fox O'Rian posts a couple photos from an accident last night at Comm. Ave. and St. Paul street involving an SUV and a botched U-turn that shut down B-Line service for an hour.

Ah
So that explains all of the illegal left turns going across in front of me on my ride into work today coming inbound on Comm Ave.
I had to triple-check the light to convince myself I had a green.
I dunno
I doesn't really look like the traffic signal won here. It lost its head.
Yeah, but ultimately the signal pole
held its ground and stopped that Hyundai dead in its moronic (driver's) tracks. I would love to hear explanation from the driver on why this occurred.
