No more e-mail from Universal Hub for a bit

My apologies to everybody who kept getting stupid "subscription" alerts for discussions they didn't want to know about. I've turned off the application that kept sending the fool things out no matter what I did.

And my apologies to folks who do want to get notification when a particular discussion gets new comments. I'll be looking at either installing a new (less troublesome) application, or just going back to the old application, which, while it had its problems (weird characters in e-mails) at least didn't keep pestering people.

glitches

I see "Subscribe to; This post" at the bottom of every post.

Also, in the right column, it says "Login or register to post comments" under the photo, even though I'm logged in.

I didn't mind them

Though I was curious as to the point of having them in the first place...

Different strokes for different folks, basically

Different folks follow discussions different ways; in this case, some folks would rather be notified of new comments by e-mail before they trek over here.

One glitch fixed

Actually, it was a feature :-). I've installed a new subscriptions module and am testing it out. I inadvertently gave some people early access to the module (hopefully, you didn't get any mail from it, which actually would be a good thing). It still needs some work on the e-mail formatting side, so I've turned it off.

I'll look into the permissions issue on the right-side photo, sorry for whatever it is.
