Also: you know how we're constantly preached to about how officer details at construction sites are for safety? Tell that to the BPD cop (4 digit badge number starting with 1, ending in 49) working a detail at the intersection of Longwood and Huntington a block or two away. When told I'd almost been run over by a car and had a description of the car and a plate number, stared at me without moving a muscle and said, "Welcome to Boston", and waited for me to leave him so he could get back to staring down oncoming traffic.

Apparently his big thumb was too tired from twiddling to press the "transmit" button on his radio for 30 seconds. Is it too much to ask that you cops even pretend to give a shit? Or can you only do that when you're holding a radar gun and writing out $75 speeding tickets?
