Sale on battery acid at local Dunkin' Donuts

Alicia never knows what she'll get when she orders her medium iced hazelnut with skim at her local Dunk's. Today, she reports:
When I took a sip this morning, it was like drinking battery acid. I swallowed a little bit, but managed to spit the rest back in the cup. There was a pool of something (hopefully meant for human consumption) on the bottom of my cup that created a sensation of 200 miniature knives poking me in the throat. I've since downed 2 glasses of water, and am hoping that my tonsils aren't melting and dripping slowly into my stomach. ...

That's over the line
obviously, and I have not had that happen.
But many times in the past (guessing) year-18 mos., I have remarked that Dunk's iced coffee has lost its reliability.
I don't know why, but it is not consistently good anymore, and if you take it back to the counter, they just assume you want more cream/sugar because you can't deal with the "bitter" flavor. I'm not talking about strong, unalloyed coffee taste- there's something weird about their mixing sometimes.
