Rcn Slow in Boston too
We are having the same slooooooow RCN in Boston too. I just figured it was because the students are back but I don't remember this happening last year.
Guess I'll call in a complaint in the AM.

Here in Brighton on RCN, I'm getting faster speeds than my work network.
Use the Speakeasy speedtest to NYC and tell me what your download and upload speeds are. Here's what I get:
10:40 PM, 10/1/08
Last Result:
Download Speed: 10443 kbps (1305.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 644 kbps (80.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Unbearably slow here in Brighton
Last Result:
Download Speed: 999 kbps (124.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 381 kbps (47.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
and I dont have a 1Mbps connection
supposedly.
Comcast no better
That's disappointing because I want to ditch Comcast so badly... but I'm going to simply move to a metroburb so I can get FIOS.
