T gets serious about cracking down on cell-using drivers

The Herald reports the MBTA has suspended eight bus drivers and one subway driver for talking on their cell phones while working since that May 28 fatal crash on the Green Line in Newton.

I think alot of train riders are just sick of cell phones in general, is it possible to just put jammers on the trains for all cell phones? Then it wouldnt be an issue anymore.

Cell phone jammers are illegal. If you get caught with one it goes bye-bye and you get whacked with a fine by Mr. FCC.

If a fatality and train wreck are not enough to spur fundamental changes in behavior, the proverbial "2 by 4 across the head" was required. Good for Dan Grabauskas.
