You can't just go throwing foot powder around an airplane cabin anymore

A Framingham man charged with throwing foot powder around a US Airways jet after it landed at Logan Airport yesterday is due for arraignment in East Boston District Court this morning, the Suffolk County DA's office reports.

Arthur Nicolson, 42, allegedly annointed the cabin with Dr. Scholl's foot powder to show the flight crew what he thought of the plane being late on the flight from Las Vegas. State Police who took him away found him in possession of a yellow, 7-oz. container of the stuff, according to the DA's office (oh, just great, now you know the TSA is going to ban all foot-powder containers larger than 3 oz.).

Interfering with the operation of an aircraft.

Nicholson pleaded innocent, was released on his own recognizance, will return to court Dec. 2, according to the Suffolk County DA's office, which adds:

State Police assigned to Logan International Airport responded to the U.S. Airways gate yesterday afternoon following a report of a man dispersing a powdery substance throughout Flight 67, which had just arrived from Las Vegas.

State troopers soon located the defendant, who met the description provided and was carrying a 7 oz. container of Dr. Scholl's foot powder. In a post-Miranda statement, Nicolson allegedly told the troopers that his Oct. 5 flight from Las Vegas had been delayed for several hours. Nicolson also allegedly said that he had been removed from that flight after telling the crew that he had pneumonia and was placed on an even later flight.
