Welcome Globe readers -- a clarification
I don't think the Globe excerpt captured the crucial point of my story. What should our interaction be with panhandlers in our neighborhood? I gave him money, should that have bought his exclusive time? I sent this out my neighbors-- that they didn't bother responding online (though they did in person), shouldn't that be part of the story as well? -- Jon
That would be my fault
In trying to digest items, I want to give enough of a taste so that somebody might want to read the whole thing. Sometimes, though, I guess I pare down what I reprint too much.
