Good-bye, Jeff Hale

Jeff Hale, one of the founders of the Someday Cafe, has died of leukemia. Lisa remembers him:

... I saw him a number of times after (he and his partners sold the cafe), including one time when he gave a wonderful short lecture on coffee cultivation and roasting at the Someday Cafe. He had already started a successful business and was always brimming with plans; the last one he told me about was a business to sell coffee he would buy from farms practicing sustainable agriculture practices. ...

I will listen to Jim Infantino's CD of the same title in honor of the departed. It's one of my favorite CDs. It'll be a loving homage this evening. Over a cup of decaf.

So sorry to hear this news

I was fortunate enough to have met Jeff, albeit briefly, at one of the many blood drives held on his behalf (in several of which I participated, for what it's worth) over the years since his diagnosis. He was an incredible fellow, and I am deeply saddened to learn of his death.

People shouldn't die so young.

I agree. He was a great guy. It's very sad that he died so young.
