No more Thai Spice for her

From now on, when West Roxbury's Tammy needs Thai food, she's going with Phuket instead of Thai Spice, because Thai Spice can't get its act together: Last night, she and some friends ordered food at 5:15 and it didn't arrive until after 7:

... We only had 2 dinners, 1 rice dish and 3 appetizers. The food was good, it was still warm (no piping hot) and the adults survived (barely)... but the kids were in a tizzy and stuffed themselves on Go-gurts before the food even arrived. If you have children, you understand what a 4-yo with low blood sugar, surviving on a sugar-ladened dinner can be like. Let's just say it wasn't pretty. ...

Can't get good service

Can't get good service at Thai Spice? Phuket!!

All these animated ads on Uhub are killing my browser (Firefox) and PC performance. The CPU on this machine is pegged at 100% when I have a Uhub page up with 3 animated ads. When I close the Uhub tab, CPU at 100% drops to below 20%. While I do mind animated ads because they are annoying, I cannot stand clicking on a link and waiting a long time because processing the click is competing for CPU cycles with ads. That said, I hope you can continue to get the ad revenue you are looking for while fixing this performance issue.

My apologies

If I can ask a favor:

The next time that happens, would it be possible to tell me what the ads are for? There could be three: A horizontal ad at the top of the page, a squarish ad on the right and a longish ad under that.

The pages call up ads from four different sources and knowing which ads are on the page will help me figure out which source it is and shut it off (I ask for your help because, for whatever reasons, I'm not seeing that effect).

Thanks.

Javascript?

I use a Firefox add-on called NoScript that removes all the Javascript activity unless you approve it. That might help Anonymous' CPU problem some.

Not the first time that's happened,

unfortunately. Really nice folks in there, but I haven't gone for about a year since I had two experiences where my wait on the premises (edit: after calling the order in) was approx. an hour.

Take Out

Upper Crust Brookline is routinely over an hour... just order way before you need it. They should tell you on the phone how long, although it's a ballpark.
