Roche Bros. at it again

Steve Garfield reports live from the West Roxbury Roche Bros. which has up and rearranged the produce department!

Earlier:
And the ice-cream/frozen food aisle is all different!

Comments

And that is the difference between bloggers and real journalists

Oranges now on left side of aisle, red peppers nowhere to be seen, MORE ON THIS AS THE STORY DEVELOPERS.

Hang on, let me call a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahmbulance from my ROTFLCOPER.

And the difference between bloggers and trolls

Is that the former talk about stuff that's important in their lives, while the latter just sit alone in their darkened rooms complaining about other people's writing.

I'll admit that the whole West Roxbury Roche Bros. phenomenon is kind of funny. But since you obviously have never been there, you don't realize the role the place actually does play in that community. Is it any less real than the panhandling how-to the real journalists at the Globe published last week?

So what's new in your life?

And do you know where the bread aisle is now?

With the frozen foods! What kind of sense does that make?

At least they still have Matthew's English Muffins.

Really, someone spent time blogging about this?

I suppose I should start a blog on how everything was rearranged at the Brighton Shaws...

Was it?

Do tell!

Steve walks around with a camera and a cell phone (hey, so do I, only his camera is this cute little thing that fits in his pocket, whereas I'm El Dorko with this porky camera with the mega-lens that I have to try to remember not to let crash to the ground). His post on the latest Roche Bros. changes probably took him no more than two minutes, I'm betting, because he knows how to do audio really quickly. And I'm betting he did it all while actually walking around the store, so it's not like it took away from someething else.

Yeah, anybody who isn't a regular there - or a friend of Steve's - probably could care less. I think it's cool because a) I go there often enough (although it's really my wife and kidlet who are the Roche Bros. addicts in our family) and b) It's a little slice of somebody's life, and I'm addicted to stuff like that.

Hey

It just amazes me what people blog about. Not so much knocking it as much as I am surprised about it. I suppose I shouldn't talk since I waste so much time reading them!

You got it, anon-a-mouse

I suppose I shouldn't talk since I waste so much time reading them!

Exactly. You don't say "you are wasting my time with the content on your blog" ... you say "gee, I'm wasting time reading about relocated citrus!"

Nobody ties anybody down and makes them read a blog ... unless they are live blogging about tying somebody down ...

In any case, comments about "your content sucks" are inherently stupid. Don't like a blog? Don't read it. Simple.

I suspect that One Man's Narcissism is simply jealous about the number of eyeballs that UHub attracts. Most people would rather read about misplaced produce than wade through his repetitive, drunken, and childish blatherings.

the crazy WR Roche Bros. store manager - what will he do next?

Elderly Bloggin'

Would be cool to have a senior-citizen blog... it could feature posts about who unlocked the door to the mall this morning, that new music those kids are always listening to, how everyone drives too fast, and where they moved the bananas in Roche Bros.

I'd be an avid reader, no doubt

Ask and ye shall receive

Have you seen what Steve's mom, Millie, is up to?

http://mymomsblog.blogspot.com/

Your mom

"This grouchy old lady is not happy about it. "

Excellent... that's just the discord I've been looking for

Edit: Cool, maybe I'll get that book for my mom/gmom for xmas

Over-55 blog

Yeah, I'd like to rant about how the young-uns rarely observe "stop" or "no right on red" signs....

And pull your pants up!

What was your address again? WAT? *flips pages* What was your address again? WAT?

(ahh, election season)
