Police seek masher

The Roslindale Transcript reports:
A 45-year-old West Roxbury woman told police that as she and her boyfriend were watching TV at a little after 11 p.m. in their front living room, they heard a car that appeared to be a blue or black station wagon. They then allegedly saw a passenger lean out the side window and fire a potato from an "unknown source" that left a 3/4-inch wide dent in their front steel door. ...
The perps then peeled out. No doubt the cops have their eye on suspects.

I know this must have been scary for the woman and her boyfriend, but in some ways I'm happy that kids are making potato guns instead of real ones. A potato gun could still mess you up good if it was fired right at you, but at least it wouldn't kill you.
