Allen, a Democrat running as an independent who said Sunday she would re-enroll as a Democrat after she beat Frank in November, is an educational consultant with no experience in office, but has run several unsuccessful campaigns for Brookline municipal positions, including races for School Committee and for a spot on the Town Council.
