Lines in Allston

There was a line out the door, down the steps, across the front of the school, and partway down the block at 7:15 at the Jackson-Mann School in Allston. I can't remember the last time there was anything like that kind of a line! Turnout in that neighborhood is usually pathetic. It really warmed my heart.

The line was moving pretty efficiently, given that there were clearly a lot of first-time voters. There were two volunteers right at the entrance to the polling site who were checking addresses and directing voters to the correct precincts.

As usual, I feel cheated because they do not give out "I Voted" stickers at this site.
