More criminal acts tied to state Senate

The Globe reports a Senate page was arrested yesterday on a variety of charges, including armed robbery. The Herald has more details, including a note about how state Sen. Therese Murray could not be reached for comment because she was busy dealing with the resignation of state Sen. Dianne Wilkerson.

He was arrested- for armed robbery! The question is: why was he let go?
Maybe if the court system were properly funded, and not overrun with minor wacky-tobbacy charges and "see what sticks in court" charges from BPD, they could have kept this guy in jail and then put him on trial in a timely manner.

By saying "wacky-tobbacy charges" you infer that charges are way off base, that cops "trump" up the charges (as you've said in the past). You've got a lot to learn if you think that is true. Cops know that they get a rep in court so they will do what they can to have a good one. All laws are up to interpretation so cops will only charge if the elements of the law are met and are supported by precedent. "Trumping up" charges to "see what sticks in court" does not help their cause.
And to answer your question about why he was let go..the courts are overrun with legitimate cases and the jails in and around Boston are full because crime is high. So, judges have limited space to put the criminals.

Dont these morons realize that in our current political climate its better to NOT announce outright that you work for the State House or are a state senator. Rather you go through the motions , then use any clout you have to make things go away a little easier. Nobody would have ever noticed if he just kept that damn badge in his pocket, but now hes in the news. MORON.
