Gone, Westie, Gone

Here's your chance to own a piece of literary history: Dennis Lehane has put his West Roxbury home up for sale. The Bulletin details the features of the 19th-century Victorian on Ivory Street.

What? You didn't know the author of "Mystic River" actually lived a lot closer to the leafy Charles than the gritty Mystic? He used to be a regular at Auntie B's on Centre Street.

Is granite sustainable? It's hard to imagine there's much of it left in the world, seeing how much has gone into yuppie kitchens.

What's a yuppie?

I don't think young urban professionals are putting granite countertops in - what does yuppie mean?

Dennis now lives full time

Dennis now lives full time in Florida, rather than part-time. As of June 2006, he was living temporarily in St. Petersburg, Florida and teaching as writer-in-residence at Eckerd College (usually during the spring semester). He also got re-married in Feb 2008, and his wife (Dr. Angela Bernardo) practices in FL.
