Bringing a touch of Fluff to Boston politics
By adamg on Fri, 11/21/2008 - 4:55pm
The Jamaica Plain Gazette reports that former state Sen. Jarrett "Fluff" Barrios recently moved to JP, where he is busy co-chairing Felix Arroyo the Younger's bid for an at-large city council seat in next year's elections.
The Gazette also reports that Carlos Henriquez is looking at running again for Chuck Turner's district seat, which just today might have become a bit easier to do.

The less Fluffer-hater says
The less Fluffer-hater says the better. You can just imagine the wheels in his little noggin going round, trying to come up with some new
debaclebright idea.Fluffer Nuttery
Actually, NotWhitey, the fluff thing was about the only real political debacle in Barrios' career that comes to mind, and it's laughable, but totally minor.
The guy has run for office several times and been quite successful, despite being an out gay man in a very traditional ethnic enclave with a Catholic church on every other corner. I think Felix "lover boy" Arroyo Jr. will benefit from the kind of political savvy that Barrios can bring to a campaign.
Laughable he is.
Laughable he is.
Also Barrios has all sorts
Also Barrios has all sorts of political connections that people dont immediatly see. I forget where I saw it, but its online somewhere, an article talking about how much money he raised for his State Senate runs. He can raise money, he knows how to plan, and hes a people person. Felix could do a whole heck of alot worse.
My only concern is it seems like Barrios has been in town for all of five minutes and hes a Co-Chair couldnt he find any big names who have lived there longer ?

Wish the gay ranchero had stayed in Cambridge.
