Northborough man keeps up with the news out of Boston

Boston Police report that when a guy got kicked out of Sullivan's Bar, 168 Canal St., for having consumed too much alcohol Friday night, he went across the street to another bar, swiped a solid-steel ashtray, went back to Sullivan's and threw it inside - fortunately, not hitting anybody.

When officers arrived and arrested the man, he reportedly exclaimed:

Politicians are getting arrested for taking a thousand dollars! Do you want a thousand dollars? I could give you a thousand dollars!

Officers declined Kevin Doherty's offer and instead brought the 25-year-old Northborough man in for booking on a charge of disorderly conduct.
