First cones of the season

Is common practice in Southie that you put out cones only if you were the one to clear the spot of snow?

If you find a space that is unmarked

it is now free for you to park in, and when you leave, fill it if you choose to do so, and return to it repeatedly. There are enough people parked at any given time who are not going to be returning to the neighborhood to park again that you'll find a fair amount of unclaimed spaces.

When I lived there, I would sometimes leave a space I dug out unmarked, ceding it to someone else, if I didn't like the space much and thought I'd take my chances and find a better one. Not after a really bad storm, of course.

Anyway, you just would be absolutely certain that it was unmarked before taking it over.

I hope this was an attempt at humor.
If so, it's pretty hilarious.
If not, there is definitely a dark humor to be found in the pathetic nature of the party responsible for the cones.
either way, i'm laughing tonight!
