I hate bikes and the people who ride them... discuss.

I think he meant the Tyson link he included

Not this post that you're discussing right now.

Oh well, in that case I rescind my previous statement, discuss the bike issue over on the tyson board!

Flame-broiled!

By SwirlyGrrl - 12/10/08 - 10:25 am

Yeah! Let's start a flame war for hunger!

Not here, over there...

You need to comment over on the Boston Food Bank site.

As for bike riders, the ones that do not obey rules of the road, and ride the wrong way down a one way, where drivers are not expecting them, and then get mad when we honk at them, are disliked by drivers and bike riders.

Tyson even added a second truck to fill (and it's easily filled by the number of comments over there).

Crazy.

I feel like the bartender in "It's a Wonderful Life" after Clarence tells him that every time a bell rings an angel gets its wings.

"Look at me! I'm feedin' families!"

the three boxes of food and $501 in cash my department raised for Can Share and the Mayor's Fresh Food Fund (all of which benefits the Greater Boston Food Bank)! I coordinated the effort for my department this year and found it to be quite rewarding.

Count me in for 100! I'd even gladly help sort the delivery at the Food Bank - it's a neat activity.

What an excellent idea! I love when companies put their money up for things that help those who really need it.

Thanks to Tyson Foods for sponsoring this cause!

Commenting here won't do anything

The commenting needs to be done here.

All done

...and the Tyson web site says they've filled 2 trucks, and commenting for GBFB is now closed...

UPDATE #2. The 2nd truck is full. Wish we could do more, but we need to help some other food banks around the country, too. Thanks to all who read this post. Now go out and help your local food bank. In the Boston area, go to the Greater Boston Food Bank, or elsewhere around the U.S., visit Feeding America.
