Big Freeze paralyzes Boston.com?

By oddjob60 - 12/12/08 - 10:24 am

At first, it looks like boston.com is on top of things this morning. They've got a nice new headline: "State of emergency issued due to damaging ice storm," and a photo and cutline to match. But click on the shiny headline, and what do you get? A short metro update from 6:55pm last night.

To catch up a little on what's happened in the last 12 hours (power outages, flooding rains, snarled commutes, MA and N.H. disaster declarations)," you might try the much smaller headline "Massive outages cripple Maine, N.H., Vt.," which brings you to, yes, a newer item-- from the AP. Or, hey, what if you click the photo? Also a newer item, also from the AP.

What's the Globe been doing all night? At least photographer Mark Wilson's been working. Otherwise, it looks like they're relying on the AP, NECN, WHDH, and reader comments to keep thinks up.
