State rep doesn't do homework on anti-idling-near-schools bill

Let's hope Deval doesn't doubly deem idling devious and pass a school-zone anti-idling law. It's the fine work of Benjamin Downing, representative from Pittsfield.

Guess what? It's completely unnecessary, because we already have an anti-idling law that applies to all vehicles (exclusions are very limited) and there was already a MassDEP initiative to address idling at schools.

Benjamin, I know you live out in the sticks- but you helped wire them. So next time, can you do a google search? If y'all aren't going to use those internet connections we city-folk paid for, maybe you'd like to give us that $25M back, please. We could give it to Verizon in hopes that maybe they'd wire up Boston with FiOS...
