Good to see Channel 7 still has its priorities straight

Nice to see "the news station" sent Matt Lorch down to New Jersey to cover the Adolf Hitler Campbell cake drama, although it is a bit distressing that they couldn't find an alliterative headline to go with it (Really, Channel 7, "FROSTY RECEPTION" was the best you could do?) and that, well, we were all talking about the story two days ago.

I suspect they may be

I suspect they may be putting the kibash on the alliteration. I wrote about that last night. "Ice Storm?" Lame.

What's wrong with those people?

I cannot imagine what their three children will have to endure! ............ugh!

oh come on, they really

oh come on, they really could have tried for alliteration on that story: how about "Hitler Halted"

More hard hitting news

...from Channel 7. If it isn't a big explosion about 2000 miles away that has nothing to do with Boston or New England but has good shock value, they show it.

I'm sorry for Adolf and his siblings but yeah, doesn't seem like that will have a big effect up here.

Poor Adolf

I expect that not getting a personalized Anschluss-Torte is the least of his problems.

I hate to have to say it ...

but I think WalMart actually did the right thing here. I don't see why any store should be in the business of deciding whether or not a kids name is appropriate. Especially when the kid didn't pick it.

Do I still think the parents are idiots? Um, ya. They aren't the first to use poor naming judgement, and they won't be the last. Just because they chose to saddle the kid with a bummer of a name doesn't mean the world should pile on to the kid.

Did Anyone Suggest A Compromise?

Surely, inscribing a cake simply "Happy Birthday, Adolf!" (as opposed to "Happy Birthday, Adolf Hitler!") should not be a problem. Without the Hitler, the only problem is in the head of whoever is complaining.

Channel 7

Who actually watches Channel 7? It was on at the bar Wednesday night. Except for a weather break, the entire 5-5:30 broadcast was the house explosion story, even though no one knew anything, and it had happened hours before (Every return form commercial was Breaking News, which continued the exact same story). How slow a news day was it they this house deserved an entire half hour? ugh.

"the news station"

This is not news, this is the voyeurism that passes for news.
