Report from the front lines in Coolidge Corner

Dennis Fox held a sign in support of Gaza in Coolidge Corner yesterday:

... I had two decent conversations with supporters of Israel that went beyond sloganeering, until in both cases they had enough and moved away. I don't believe such conversations will change many minds, and I doubt that changing individual minds will change Israeli policy, but it was more pleasant than mutual screaming.

One of my fellow protestors asked me what I thought made sense to do. I didn't have a good answer.

Miss Kelly, meanwhile, notes a pro-Gaza rally at 5 this afternoon in front of the Israeli consulate in Park Plaza, urges Israeli supporters to attend:

... Please go and show your support for Israel tomorrow. Don't let the Hamas-supporting, Muslim Brotherhood-backed Boston Muslim American Society get all the press coverage.

How come no one talks about who has been selling them the rockets they've been lobbing into Israel? Stop the flow of arms and stop the attacks. Unless of course they're American made, then it's GO USA!

Hamas gets weapons and money from Iran.

Mostly because the rockets are made of sewer pipes and light pole segments, and filled with homemade explosives and propellant.

Doesn't make them any less lethal than the US made rockets. Just makes them completely unguided. Which you only care about if you have an address to send them, and Hamas addresses their rockets "to whom it may concern."

Ms Kelly is a bigoted racist with nothing but fear in her heart.

She cloaks it in a false shroud of religion, which enables her to get by day to day. It's sad, because religion can be a beautiful and constructive thing for society.

Just take a look at the backlog of topics on her blog and you'll see a warped christianist viewpoint and staunch Rush Limbaugh regurgitator.

It's nice to know that there's fewer and fewer people of her opinion as America matures.

Way to throw around words, Ty. I fail to see how Ms Kelly's support of Israel brands her as a "bigoted racist". I was pretty distgusted by Mr. Fox's view of the situation but that doesn't necessarily make him a bigot or a racist - it just means that we have different opinions.

Before you start calling someone a bigoted racist you better have the cahones to back it up. Just because you disagree with someone that doesn't make them a bigot. It does, however, make you very sad, very elitist, and very misinformed.

Put that in your hooka and smoke it.

She uses "Muslim-supporter" and "Arab-supporter" as supposed insults. Branding all Muslims and/or Arabs as bad is not racist...how?
