I fell for it! After I had some work done on my car, the service person told me to turn in my green plate for the new red ones or I'd have trouble passing inspection. My father had been told the same thing by his car dealership, so he turned in his green plate.
I turned in my beloved green plate just last week and got my car inspected yesterday. *sigh* I guess I wasted a lot of time for nothing. Oh well...
