Im a non hugger at least with people I just casually know. It leads to very awkward situations when a hugger comes into the room and I immediatly reach for a wine glass/sodabottle etc making it difficult for them to go in for a hug without spilling something.

Have you seen the size of their respective bellies? I doubt a hug is possible.
