The Globe throws down the gauntlet against Brunchers: stay home Sunday, they say, predicting "up to 10 inches in some places." The Weather Underground concurs; snowfall is currently predicted to hit Boston around midnight Saturday.

I don't watch the storm coverage--the forecasters are too hyper.

The forecasters are too hyper for my tastes. Since I've got a good pair of feet for walking and public transportation at my fingertips, I can hoof it or take the train if and when I want or need to get somewhere. I only wish they'd enforce the snow emergency laws better in a lot of places, and that more people would take the responsibility of shoveling out and salting down their sidewalks, doorsteps and walkways.
