Why does it always seem that the Bus 220 never has people on it?

Does anyone take the 222 to Weymouth early in the morning or early evening? This bus can get crowded and the 220 that goes the same route always seems to fly by with little people very frustrating

Where I live I can catch the 220, 221 and 222 to Quincy Center. My experience has been the 221 is the least crowded as it takes a left at St. Jerome's, goes up by the beach and turns back to Quincy Center. The 220 goes to Hingham and the 222, the most crowded bus to me, goes to East Weymouth. Since I can take any one of these buses, if the weather is not too severe, I will wait 5 minutes for a less crowded bus. The T treats all 3 routes as the same (see the schedule) so if you have to take the 222 you have to put up with a crowded bus. People have been complaining for years, to no avail.

Buses for little people

I am a fan of those buses for Little People.

I also rode in a few of those buses for little people in Bangkok many years ago. Since the average height is much lower there, the ceilings of the Bangkok buses are something less than 6 feet. I had to stand with my head bent over the whole way, and every bump in the road hurt as my head banged the ceiling.

Maybe, based on that story, I should not actually be a fan of little people on a bus.

What does that have to do with anything?

Little People

They've totally messed with Little People since I was a kid. Now they look pretty indistinguishable from Playmobil or any other sort of toy. Remember when they were like 3/4-inch dowels with heads slapped on the top? And then some time in the early '80s they started making them out of plastic, but still the same cylindrical design, except for how there were then female Little People, and you could tell because they had a roll of boobage all the way around instead of being a regular cylinder. Oh, and we can't forget the dowel-with-dog-head-slapped-on-top.

Those were the days. I still have all my Fisher Price sets sitting in my parent's house, because should I ever have kids...they're getting quality toys.

Maybe that bus just looks less crowded because the little people take up less room?

No, I don't want to make fun of little people, just the comment, and I couldn't resist.
