Maybe the T needs to hire that guy from Malaysia who pulls trains with his teeth

Steve Garfield reports he was on an Orange Line train last night that broke down just before Back Bay and had to be pushed into the station by another train.

$2 / rider is way too expensive, and T still sucks. I stopped by Tokyo in the last summer, and there were trains in every 2 mins with less than $2, for almost 24hrs - extremely clean and up-to-date trains, too. All the public sectors in the US just sucks, not to mention the private sector. Completely morons are managers in here. They just sucks, but still get paid a lot.

I sure hope that he has good denial care.

As someone who frequently takes public transportation in Boston, I must admit that having someone to save us from hours stuck underground with no escape would be an invaluable asset. My question is, can he pull buses and boats as well?

Tons of fun.

I'm not sure if it's my imagination or not, but the Orange Line fleet seems to be experiencing a rash of equipment failures these days.

Of course, one should keep in mind the fleet has been operating roughly 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year for nearly thirty years without a single train permanently removed from service. (Let's see how long the Bredas last. The NABI bus fleet the T bought in 2003 is already going in for a refit.)

Wondering if there are track/switching problems too. Last week we all stood at State Street for over half an hour, no explanation. Train finally comes, and then of course at Ruggles it announces it's going express to Forest Hills -- only the next train wasn't right behind it and everyone waited another 8-10 minutes.
