Blame Mitt Romney for the idea of grabbing taxes from New Hampshire

That darn tax-and-spender! Lance explains how the court case that started it all was launched in 2003 by the Romney administration's Revenue Department - not by Deval Patrick:

... [T]he next time Mitt Romney runs for president, he should be asked over and over again from Keene to Laconia why he wanted to impose a Massachusetts sales tax on New Hampshire businesses.

I really don't think this state has to assign blame for taxes to any one person. There is an unending appetite for our money in this state. All we seem to hear is the need for more revenue. Where is the accountability where the money goes? Where are reforms? Why can't this state and our leadership live within their means like we have to?

good outcomes are a triumph for "progressive" policies and the Democratic super majority but negative outcomes are the result of those darned Republican governors, who just steamroll the poor defenseless House and Senate? Lance, do you have any mirrors in your home?

The legislature does not command the DOR, the governor does. Romney was trying to find sources of revenue and enforcement so he could avoid raising taxes to cover the loss of other sources of revenue in the past several years - the tax rollback, the decline in revenue from sales taxes, the stagnation in income tax revenues.

This is Romney's shell game all the way.

Even though Muffy Healey lost the election over two years ago, she's apparently tricked her opponent into implementing her secret plan.
