Sounds like back in July I knew this was going to happen based on their latest changes. New management (or something like it) seemed to want to drive the place into being a dance club instead of a billiards hall. I'm not surprised it's gone. It'd be nice if they could put a real pool hall back in the space.

Last time it was there (and we knew it was the last time that day), the tables were lousy with dings and dents, and we were surrounded by noisy blaring televisions. No way to play pool. Yeah, maybe the place was the best at one point, but it hasn't been for a long time. If you get to the point where you say a pool hall is a shitty place to play pool, it's got a serious problem.

Reviews on Yelp starting on Jan 5 talk about it closing. They evidently closed Warwick RI, Danbury CT, and West Springfield MA, too. They are looking to reopen a few places, including Boston, but only if they can find lower rent.

Old news! Their first business day after Jan 1st they abruptly closed their doors forever with no warning to their waitstaff. Those scheduled to work that day were curtly informed that the place was going under and they were all terminated as a result. Harsh, huh?
I've heard talk that although they were a popular destination for coctails and were doing steady business on that end, their rent was too high and too few people were using their many billiards tables.
