Pru to get farmer's market

Penny Cherubino gets the scoop on plans for a Thursday farmers' market, which would be in addition to the existing Tuesday and Friday markets down the street in Copley Square.

Copley Sq Farmer's Markets

The current Copley Square markets are Tuesdays and Fridays (not Thursdays).

That was my mistake not Adam's.

I just went in and corrected it on my post and I'm sure Adam will take care of it here.

I've been going around humming "Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Markets" all day. Must have had that Thursday addition on my mind while I wrote the story.

This will mean fewer visits to the Thursday Brookline Market for me but I'll still go to that market a few times each season. They also have great vendors.

Pru Center Farmer's Market RULES

This is becoming my favorite part of the week and the vendors are heroes because there has been maybe one sunny Thursday since this started. I have found beautiful flowers, herbs,bread, and tomatoes that I ate like fruit when I got back to my desk. The market is in sharp and refreshing contrast to the food court and other nearby chainy establishments that offer serve a limited cuisine for those that like organic and fresh. I hope they stay around, the market makes my day on Thursdays!
