Apartment building burns on Mass. Ave. in Cambridge

Burlapen reports a fire broke out Saturday night at 923 Mass. Ave. (near Hancock):

[Girlfriend's] apartment appears to be fine, though the apartment directly across the hall is completely charred and burnt out.

For the record, that's 923-25 Mass Ave, aka 75 Hancock Street.

In happier Cambridge news, Frank Cardullo's three children will take over the family business. At least one icon will keep its doors open in the Square.
