On the one hand, snow sucks; on the other hand, I'll be dead soon

My favorite part of the Globe story on winter-weary Bostonians was the guy who got all philosophical as he brought up The Blizzard:

I'm 74, so I've seen a lot of them. Of course, nothing compares to the Blizzard of '78. If you look at this entire winter, yes, it's been really bad, but what can you do? At my age, I don't have many more of these to dig out from. Soon, it'll probably be covering me.

My second favorite anecdote was from the woman who said she blew out her transmission trying to drive through a snowbank or something, because, geez, Louise, what was she doing, flooring the accelerator for 15 minutes straight while her wheels just spun uselessly?
