How to shut a Masshole up

When a Masshole guns his engine and tries to cut you off on Comm. Ave., only you speed up and he's forced to swerve to avoid a parked car and then he catches up with you at the next light and starts cursing you out, apologize to him. But then speed off before he comes out of shock.

I did not "speed up before he came out of shock". Again, I'm not saying he couldn't have kicked my ass, but in the game of machismo chicken, he blinked.

Sorry for compressing the story. It seemed like you shocked him into silence, but then he recovered, at least in terms of cursing, before he finally submitted.
