WGBH needs to update its beggin' shows

Uncle grumps that if WGBH is going to trot out Celtic music shows for pledge week, the least it can do is get some avant-garde performances:
... Grumble grumble...buncha people in kilts with attitudes, and they didn't even have someone playing the electric bagpipe!

Watching the likes of
Watching the likes of "Celtic Woman" and "Celtic Thunder" are enough to make me sean nos dance off my balcony. So over-produced, so formulaic: Yes, get some lovely Colleens (or Colins) in fancy attire, throw in an occasional traditional and/or Gaelic song amidst the recycled pop classics, make sure there's a tin whistle and a bodhran visible/audible at some point in the proceedings, and hey presto! You've been Celtic'd.
If 'GBH really wanted to run a good Irish music special, I wish they'd show "Come West Along the Road."
