We always kept a hen or two growing up. They do just fine in the backyard and the fresh eggs are incomparable. I've been thinking about building a backyard hen house, and now that I know it's the thing to do in Rozzie, I best get a move on before it becomes passe.

Are they selling the chickens as pets or Easter presents? I didn't think people still did that.
