Dewey Square Group needs to find a smarter bunch of interns as it astroturfs newspapers over some Medicare issue. Firm says it didn't make up letters; old people just have poor memories.

Or at least some interns who know local geography

One of the letters came from William Morin of New Bedford and was addressed to the "New Bedford Eagle-Tribune."

That

is screwed up.

I got a call from them a

I got a call from them a while back, and it took me a while to find out where they were really calling from. It was quite odd, and the words the person was using were so scripted. I was not sure what to make of it when I figured out where the call came from, now I know, strange.

Not Mentioned?

I saw no mention of what sort of fines or other legal comeuppance is meted out for such actions. Does anyone know what it could be?

Of course they have poor memories

That must be why they carefully selected names of residents who live in a "neighborhood for people with memory impairments" (specially-designed suites that are found in many assisted living communities).

It's conceivable that they're telling the truth

But even if they are, I bet that intern is being fitted for concrete loafers.

ya know, I was wondering

who Kerry's people lied to in between elections. The really sad thing is that there are some kids who are being taught that this kind of behavior is acceptable, just so they can break into the PR biz. I once was on the wrong side of George Regan on a community development issue. Believe me, Dewey Square is a bunch of Peace Corps volunteers by comparison. A plague on both their houses.
