I saw Bruce Springsteen last tour, three times. First time I had ever seen him live. He was good, of course, but the band all seemed "old and tired". Bruce could've lost a few pounds and everything sounded "bloated".
Not this time. I had better seats this time, but it was way more than that. The guy looks as if he has gone back in a time machine, 25 years. He looks like he did in the "Dancin' in the Dark" video (which, thankfully, he did not play). He was jumping, jammin', in complete control. (And in much better shape than during the Super Bowl, complete with floor slide.)
Little Steven looked tired and bloated as did Clarence. Nils Lofgren did a guitar solo that will be talked about for years (or, until he does it, again, tonight).
Highlights were "Tom Joad" and "I'm Bad, I'm Nationwide" (ha, ha) and ... Rosalita for final encore!!!!
And, it sure looked like Bruce was "available" - he was definitely smiling at all the ladies (and, their moms ...).
Bravo!
There are still a couple tickets behind the stage available - better seats than in the upper balcony in the front, I promise you. Bruce and the band play to the back of the house as much as the front.
