Yeah, yeah, Earth Day and all, but they're Red Sox, not Lime Rickies.

Are these the St. Paddy's
Are these the St. Paddy's spring training redux, or a completely different jersey that they'll auction off for a charity? The green seems somehow shinier, but maybe it's just being under the lights?
Yeah, blame St. Paddy, not Earth Day
Except for the addition of a recycling logo, we've seen these uni's before. As noted on the Extra Bases blog from the Globe sportswriters:
"In response to those wondering, the Sox are wearing their St. Patrick's Day uniforms as a tribute to Earth Day. The uniforms have a recycling patch on the right sleeve, with a clover on the left sleeve. So these are recycled uniforms..."
This was also mentioned on the NESN blog: "The Sox are wearing their green shamrock jerseys and hats from St. Patrick’s Day."
Thats great, recycled shirts
Thats great, recycled shirts for Earth Day. Instead of printing up new ones they are using ones they already have in their arsenal. Makes perfect sense.
Wish
I wish they'd recycle those new road uniforms into car wash rags.
I'm with you
I was at the game lastnight and it was freaky seeing Jacoby dressed like a Christmas tree, complete with green shamrock on the sleeve. Enough is enough. Let's go back to navy blue and red.
