Chinese business owners continue to be targeted in Brookline scam

Brookline Police report more threatening phone calls to residents:

There were six Chinese professional business owners reporting that they have received threatening phone calls. During these phone calls caller states he has a friend that has convicted a serious crime in Boston and needs to flee the country. The caller then asks for $20,000 and if they don't receive it they claim that they will cause harm to the victim and their family.
