Hot enough for ya?

Deb Filcman: I have a feeling breathing is going to be out of the question today. Eek, I can feel it already.
Eyemadequiet: If you don't want to be blinded by my pasty skin, stay away from Downtown Xing.
Meanwhile, on T buses, Twitterers are complaining that it's either too hot or too cold.
But, of course, don't worry: This is, of course, New England and tomorrow's highs are forecast in the 60s.

No Complaints
I have never been so glad to be rid of a Winter. You won't hear any complaints from me about 90 degree temperatures.
At least until May.

From the beginning of November....
...through the end of March, I forbid myself to utter any complaints about wintery conditions. This way, I can complain freely (with a clear conscience) about weather that is too hot (especially when it is also humid) during the remainder of the year.
;~}
Agreed. And especially in
Agreed.
And especially in work attire, it's always easy to bundle up, then to strip down.
I absolutely hate when (some, not all) women wear spring/summer attire to work, then complain and get the AC shut down.
Us men, for the most part, can't dress down nearly as much in the summer; and then are forced to swelter. I'd kindly ask to light sweater if you know there will be AC in the work place, or dress appropriately for where you'll spend the most time out of your day.
If you can get the bosses in the city to aprove of something along these lines (or more buissiness casual), I'd accept that too!

Summer Clothing
Why should your company crank the AC so people have to wear sweaters and coats anyway? Why not 1)notice that it is summer 2)wear appropriate clothing and 3)save money on AC so fewer people have to be laid off to make ends meet.
Wool coats and sweaters in the summer seem to be a peculiarly North Eastern US disease. I can think of only one other mammal that does that. Baaaaaah.
Agreed. Blasting the AC to
Agreed. Blasting the AC to make a room chilly is really wasteful. I worked in an office building where I did keep sweaters handy year round, and was STILL so cold because of the AC that I had to open a window in 85+humidity heat just to make the room comfortable.
It's not only wasteful but really disgusting, to boot.
In our department, we once had a supervisor who deliberately (yup, deliberately) removed the A/C control knob from the A/C switch in our department so that the room would be chilly. She did that for one reason: to get rid of people.
Why?
Because even this model isn't able to make this:

look cool. :)
Am I the only one thinking ...
About this video when I see that picture?
Nah
Reminds me more of something like this.
It's really the footwear
It's really the footwear that ruins any hope the ensemble ever had.
No, no, everything below the
No, no, everything below the waist is, what's the subtle, tasteful word I'm looking for? Oh yeah, dorky.
Truth is, I have to go to work in khakis and a button down, like a lot of guys. Even "summer weight" stuff isn't exactly comfortable over 80 degrees. So, yeah, bring a sweater and get over it.
Er, I was being facetious.
Er, I was being facetious.
No sweat yet
A colleague at work said she took a long walk 'round Beacon Hill and "didn't break a sweat." I pointed out that we're still thawing after the winter chill. We'll need at least three more 80+ days before we started to sweat.
