Dedham getting an IHOP

Workers are busy this week turning the failed Applebee's across from the Uno at the Dedham mall into, yes, an IHOP. No more trips way down to Walpole or way up to Brighton. They've already got "Help Wanted" banners fluttering from the sides of the place.

Used to love IHOP

But based on experiences in recent years with the one in Cambridge and in Honolulu, they must use more grease in their breakfast dishes than any other chain around. I mean, dripping with the stuff.

The pancakes remain good, however.

Aw, yeah!

Excellent - depending on hours of oper.

The region needs a reliable place of that ilk, esp. since there's no Denny's/Bickford's around, and there used to be an IHOP on the VFW years ago.

(plus it gets rid of abandoned building in front of the lovely Dedham Mall.)

No way, man

What we *need* is

Or perhaps the lesser-known

Huddle House, even...

... though they usually elicit a "huh?" from people who've never seen them.

IHOP>The Ground Round

The Ground Round in Salem turned into an IHOP a couple of years ago. Which dated restaurant concept can succeed in the Witch City?

+1 on the Waffle House idea, though.
