LESS Caffeine
Well, if it kept her up past midnight, it wasn't because of the caffeine. Espresso has less caffeine than regular coffee, so adding a shot to your iced coffee only increases it by about 100mg, whereas the iced coffee itself is packing somewhere around 400mg.
(By comparison, a can of cola has about 50mg of caffeine)
