woooo, I love it!
Purple lilacs are soooo beautiful, and they smell so nice!. When I lived in Cambridge, there were purple lilacs near our building, and, since I lived on the first floor, I had them right outside my window. On a beautiful spring day, when the wind was just right, the scent would waft into my apartment. Oh, the pleasures of spring, my favorite season of the year!
It was a perfect day out there
I go into the Arboretum pretty often with my kid, and it was odd to see huge crowds, but we had a really good time looking at all the different types of lilacs... each has a numbered plaque with a description & if your kid likes that sort of thing you should check it out.
A sunny, breezy day, with great-smelling flowers... and fried dough- very nice!
