When the best darned Dunkin' Donuts on the planet closes for renovations
By adamg - Mon, 05/11/2009 - 10:12pm.
Angela is beside herself because her DD local is closed for the week, forcing her to make due elsewhere:
... This morning, I attempted to get my breakfast from another Dunkin Donuts. My bagel, which I requested to be burnt (that's how I like it, damn it), was anything but. In fact, I don't think the thing even saw a toaster. It was ice cold by the time I got to my office. My coffee tasted as if it had been brewed last night. AND… AAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNDDDDDDDD I paid more for it than at my beloved DD. *tear* ...

Dunkin Donuts, bad??
I'm always fascinated by people who complain about Dunkin Donuts. They must be the same people who complain that Taco Bell doesn't taste like authentic Mexican food. You're at Dunkin Donuts, what'd you expect?
that "donut" place
I agree with Norm. Dunkin Donuts is basically crap.
I stopped going there years ago. The coffee was consistently
terrible, and this would be "my regular" Dunkin Donuts.
Try a local spot, why give them any more money?
Some of us actually like that crap
No accounting for taste, I know, but Angela is right: Some Dunkin' Donuts are simply better than others.
Ditto
Give me DD over, say, Starbucks any day. It's cheaper, unpretentious, delivers the requisite caffeine content, and tastes unlike badly burnt beans.
Which DD was she talkin about?
Id love to know.
But for a regular coffee, DD is not that much cheaper than Starbucks. Starbucks is 1000X better imo
Yes-many are having "issues" with iced coffee preparation lately
I don't know what's up - sometimes it's the coffee-to-cream/milk ratio that is WAY off for no reason (e.g. I didn't ask for it light, etc.) and sometimes the water (or ice) tastes odd or overwhelms the flavor fo the coffee. It's very inconsistent.
