Some Massholes are cereal offenders
By adamg - 5/13/09 - 1:24 pm
Wicked Local Needham reports Needham Police arrested a man for driving while eating a bowl of cereal. With milk. Which police note was still cold. He was pulled over because apparently he only had two hands with which to hold the cereal, his spoon and the steering wheel and he allegedly wasn't doing too well with the latter.
Dry shirt until proven covered in spilled milk.

If you're behind the wheel and you're eating cereal, you don't have any free hands to send text messages.
Pull his license for a month

I'm really starting to think that we need to beef up the law to allow for short-term suspensions of driver's licenses for dumbasses like this one. A month of paying for cabs and car services and arranging for rides w/ neighbors should teach someone a lesson, before s/he kills someone.
For all the grief this hapless Aiden Quinn is experiencing for his texting idiocy, this is almost as bad, and certainly risks a lethal accident.
Remember, this man will now have to

a) appear in court to answer to the driving to endanger charge and b) appear before the RMV to answer to the incompentent operator complaint.
Given that he was driving on a suspended license, I doubt he's gonna get off easy on either case.
actually,

the "incompentent operator complaint" is probaby the "immediate threat" complaint which revokes your license right away from the registry barring an appeal by the driver. It appears he didnt have license anyway so it might now matter.
I've never understood license suspensions

I mean, if someone is already not a law abider, what makes anyone think they're just not gonna drive because some law says not to for a few months?
